What is the process of choosing a photo session?

These are generalized FAQs for all sessions. I will go into more details with information pertaining to your individualized session during our pre-session consultation.

Once you know you want to schedule a session you can call, email or fill out my contact form to reach me. Next we will chat about what type of session fits your needs discussing details and answering any questions you may have.

Then we select your session date and time, at this point, you will be invoiced for your session fee, sent a contract and a questionnaire to send back to me.

As we approach your session date I will reach out to you to go over any last minute details, finalize our location and adjust as needed for weather if you are shooting outdoors.

On the day of the session let's plan on having fun and keeping things light hearted and we will capture a lot of great images for you to choose from in your online ordering gallery.

What is a session fee and what does it include?

A session fee is a retainer paid at the time of booking used to lock in your date and time and this fee also covers my time and expenses for my services.

Session fees are non-refundable and do not include any digital images or products. All products can be ordered though your online gallery.

In the event of illness or bad weather conditions we will reschedule your session

Where can you have your session?

Wow, there are so many options! This comes down to what suits you. It is important that the location you choose matches your aesthetic vision, but ideally, somewhere that is special to you. I have a few locations that I love, but I’ll work with you to decide on just the right spot.

Some ideas include your home, local park, favorite outdoor activity site keeping in mind the vision for your story...cozy home, urban city, rural country, rough outdoors or fun in sand at the beach are some ideas.

How long is the wait to get our gallery of images?

Your collection of images will be ready within 1 week of your photo session. I will email you a link to your gallery where you will find the images I have selected to edit from your session.

The photos in the gallery can be used for viewing, downloading, and sharing with family and friends. All unpaid digital downloads will have a watermark overlaid each image but rest assured your paid version will NOT have this watermark.

You can order your digital images, prints and products from your online gallery right from the privacy of your own home...or anywhere else since your gallery will be mobile friendly.

Professional photography is a luxury product. No one "needs" a luxury car, an expensive handbag, or the latest iPhone but we choose to buy such things because they hold value to us. With custom photography sessions you are looking to preserve memories...memories that give the ability to go back in time. The ability to create large framed prints, canvases and albums help turn your images to art, becoming heirlooms to share with generations to come.

I know that navigating the sea of photographers can be tricky but I can tell you that hiring a professional should NOT be cheap. When you’re having custom art created, you don’t want to choose just anyone to create it.
